About Me

A little background…Hi I’m Jasmine---NEVER Jas, but sometimes Jazzie. I’m navigating my way through the challenge of grad school while balancing everyday adult life. I’m also a newlywed and a mama to a rambunctious 3yr old Westie. As it so happens, my husband lives more than 700 miles away from me where he too is attending graduate school. I know what you’re thinking, but no we are not crazy for trying to do this and please don’t feel sorry us. Yes, the distance stinks but I feel blessed that we have found each other. So we are making it work. In the meantime, this blog is meant to serve as a creative outlet for me-from musings about my everyday life of school, fitness, and newleywedness to my passion for style. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. So glad I found your blog! I am currently going to be dealing with a similar long distance relationship myself as my boyfriend is moving to Wisconsin (we live in Illinois) to go to a police academy there for the next 6 months. So while the distance doesn't compare to yours, and I'm sure the time frame is different, I'm definitely going to be looking to you for inspiration on how to stay positive during this time apart! We dated all through high school and college so we've done the long distance thing when we went to other schools but it's definitely a different experience to do long distance when you're older and "trying to start your lives together". It's thrown us for a loop but we'll deal with it! I was so encouraged when I read your "about me" that I found someone with a similar situation. Can't wait to keep following along on here! xo

  3. Awhhhh you and your husband are so dang cute! And they say distance makes the heart grow fonder, right?! It would be hard but soon enough SO worth it and you'll look back and be like "remember when we lived 700 miles apart?!" Sounds like you're both doing amazing things!
