cooking tajine in Fes Morocco

There is nothing like dinner with a view and it's even better when you prepare the food for yourself.
Throughout traveling Morocco, the food was amazing so one our last evening there, I knew that we had to do a cooking class to learn how to make some of these dishes for ourselves.
I found a family owned Moroccan restaurant that also offered cooking classes. We were invited right into the restaurant's kitchen and taught 3 different dishes...that we then enjoyed on the roof. This was the perfect last meal in Morocco and now we can recreated this authentic meal and experience for ourselves.

♥♥ Husband's Birthday Weekend

No matter how busy dental school keeps me, husband is always my top priority so this past weekend I visited Tom to help him celebrate his 26th birthday. I left the warm embrace of the South and headed to the snow-covered ice-capped city of Boston.

Quinoa, Snap Peas, & Feta Cheese

I love love love to bake, which would suggest that I like to cook too. Well I don't, I hate it. So while it seems that I have shared several recipes with you for some of my favorite sweet treats, I haven't shared as many dinner recipes. Lately, I have been trying to spice things up and experiment with more options at home. I've recently fallen in love with quinoa and have been incorporating it wherever I can. Here is my recipe for quinoa salad. And the best part is that you could easily adapt this to include any veggies that you please.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

It's getting pretty cold out, but it's still Fall which means that there is plenty of time for yummy recipes featuring squash, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes. Here is a quick chili that I made recently. It's on the healthy side because it uses lean turkey and it also has a fun autumn twist as one of the main ingredients is pumpkin. If I really love something, I just have to share it. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did.
