Several months ago, I started planning a trip to the country of Jordan. Whenever, people would ask about our upcoming travel plans, I would happily share only to get eyebrow raises and disparaging remarks about how unsafe the Middle East is.
Little did we all know, the Coronavirus pandemic would hit it's boiling point while we were traveling abroad. And as it turned out, being in a rural Middle Eastern country turned out to be far safer and healthier for us than being home in the U.S. or in Europe. Who knew? Traveling though Jordan gave us the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea, ride camels and hike along Petra-a wonder of the world, and explore ancient ruins. It was a trip full of unforgettable once in a lifetime experiences. And I don't regret it, even if it wasn't the best timing. Can't wait to share more from this incredible adventure exploring a new part of the world.
