Am I the only one who wishes that Valentiene's Day could forever be like grade school where we all put paper valentines into decorated cardboard boxes? Instead we grow up to become cynical adults that think of Valentine's Day as the cheesiest holiday. Personally, I'm always on board with celebrating love in all of its forms.
I may have been apart from my Valentine today, but overall Valentine's Day 2018, or rather the two weeks I've spent celebrating it, was filled with love.
700+ miles away from my Valentine today...and everyday, but trying not to be too down about it
4 boxes of conversation hearts, 1 whoopie pie, 2 cupcakes, 3 Ghiradelli chocolates, ๐ซ and 1/2 a cup of chocolate chips enjoyed straight from the bag. How about we don't calculate the number of calories I ingested in sweets today?
7 love day cards and gifts sent through the mail
6 roses...that I bought for myself because why not?
12 champagne raspberry peach pie hearts baked with love
6 flights taken to reunite with Husband for Valentine's Day last weekend, leading to exactly 60 hours spent in Philadelphia
2 museums visited on our Valentine's Day date, I'm a special fan of this one
3 pairs of Valentine socks worn today alone because I couldn't decide
Marking 10 years of having Husband as my Valentine with countless moments spent being thankful to have a forever love
1 morning spent volunteering to see patients today because I truly love what I do
12 minutes of peace stolen away this morning to enjoy with my true love
14 days spent practicing self-love because I'm worth it
2 love day banners and 17 hearts decorating my apartment
Whether you're a big cheeseball like me that goes all out for Valentines Day or you like to keep things low key, I hope that everyone had a good Valentine's Day and made a little extra effort to share the love. Linking our Valentine's Day celebrations below:
