East vs West

Wanderlust Wednesday-Week 12
Hello from Utah,

I’ve been a bit absent as of late because we’ve been focusing our time on prep for our big southwest road trip. Now that we’re out here, we are filling up our days with everything imaginable. Being out here is a complete departure from what we’re used to, which led to us thinking up this list. Here"s a quick list with a few BIG differences that we’re noticing between the Eastern (particularly New England) and Western parts of the country.
public transit vs. open road

conservative vs. wild and free

garden snakes vs. rattlesnakes

skyscrapers vs. mountaintops

moss covered rocks vs. iron covered red rocks

lighthouse beaches vs. palm tree beaches

lobster rolls vs. buffalo burgers

in a hurry vs. laid back

Boston/ Philly/NY vs. Vegas/LA/San Francisco

pine trees vs. cacti

wild Maine blueberries vs. huckleberries & boysenberries

Everything here is vastly different than what we’re used too…the culture, the people, the food, and definitely the landscape. These differences are why we are loving our time out here so very much. In the meantime, you can follow along with our trip on instagram @makingrestorations since I’ve finally got cell service again : )
