Snapshots of Halloween 2014

Hello everyone, I hope you had an
amazing Halloween! Ours was a bit hectic
with last minute costume making and multiple
parties to attend, but we managed to fit it all in.

I started off my day baking and cooking some yummy treats for the evenings festivities, but then I had a full day of class. It was made much better by the fact that the faculty and staff members at the dental school dressed in costume.

Our dental hygienists & assistants always wear black scrubs and a group of them decided to play off of this by being dominoes! I love it. Seriously made my day better. After school, I loaded my goodies into the car and drove straight to the airport to pick up the hubby. Then we went to our first party of the night.

Our lovely hosts were dressed as Calvin & Hobbs!

And omg what a spread...everyone brought a halloween themed dish. My favorite were the "mummified" bacon wrapped dates. These were our contribution to the party.

It was a party filled with catching up, good eats, and cheesy "scary" movies. The perfect Halloween if you ask me.

We were sad to leave, but we had a second party to attend which was my class party (crashed by some of the lower & upperclassman). I brought a batch of these yummy cookies!

The Dental School BFF

I would not survive dental school without this girl as we literally do everything together! Halloween is no different. So when Brittany needed a costume idea, I suggested the tooth fairy. We are dental students after all. We DIYed these skirts ourselves..so much tulle and chatter going around...what a fun night that was. And I may be a little biased here, but I think that our skirts look pretty great!

My Dental School Little

This was our first couple's costume ever! It fit us perfectly.

What Minnie's Wearing?
For my costume, I wore a long sleeve shirt, leggings, and wedges that I already owned. I DIYed the tutu skirt. The ears are from Target, which I added a bow to. Topped it all off with a strand of my J Crew pearls, red lipstick, and an eyeliner nose...the perfect Minnie Mouse!

What Mickey's Wearing?
Tom's costume was even easier. Again we used what we already owned. We only got a few new items for his costume, the red suspenders and a yellow bow tie.
