Life Lately: May Flowers!

April Showers brought May Flowers
But now it has all come to an end.
June is near so let's all give a cheer
for Summer to begin!

I can't believe that today marks the end of the month of May! On days when I was missing my Tom, it felt like May would never end. But now that it has come to a close, I have no idea where the time went so I'm popping in to share a quick recap of my Month.

This month's adventures were a little different than the norm because they all centered around dental school. I feel like I took no time for myself this month, but that can be explained by the fact that I became a third year dental student. So on top of studying for boards, I'm now seeing patients and doing real life procedures. This month I officially drilled and filled cavities for the first time and extracted my first teeth. Finally getting to do real dentistry has made all the late nights and early mornings worth it.

Speaking of late nights and early mornings.....here's my
Cinco de Mayo vs. Memorial Day

I celebrated in style! It's kind of miserable that I have to spend the entire summer studying for boards, but I just have to keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it in the end, especially since my reward at the end of it is a fun trip with Husband.

Between balancing all of the responsibilities of clinic and studying, my motivation for working out this past month was non-existent. Thank goodness for cute new work out clothes to help keep me going!

I've only been working out 2-3 times a week this month, but I'm hoping June will allow for more time at the gym. Regardless, healthish eating helped me stay on track and lose a little more weight this month. It was only a couple of pounds, but I'll take it!

But mostly, whenever I could I paused this month to enjoy all the little things...like those beautiful May flowers and warm summer days.

I'm looking so forward to June as May has been an exhausting month for me. June is my birthday month and I will be celebrating it with an entire weekend off and a little trip! I'm also hoping that I will have a better grasp on balancing clinic, boards studying, and making a little more time for me.
