May 2020 felt like more of the same with continued social distancing and quarantining. But also very different thanks to moving into our new place in a new city.

april 2020
April was an interesting month of learning to adapt to this new lifestyle. The reality that this pandemic is here to stay set in and we began to adjust to this new stay at home lifestyle.

march 2020
It's taken some time to completely wrap my head around the month of March because things changed so quickly.

february 2020//
February may be the shortest month, but felt like it went on forever. I'm definitely excited to be in March, but also wanting to still remember and soak up everything that happened in February that makes up life.

May 2019//
It feels so good to be back to sharing monthly recaps and looking back on May warms my heart. It was the busiest and best packed month with lots of life changes to include becoming a grad school grad with earning my doctorate in dental medicine.

october 2018//
Dear October,
Can I please have a do over? Don't get me wrong, you were incredible, but it felt as though you went by far too quickly. And many of the things we had planned for the month never actually got done. But it does no good to dwell on what was missed.

august 2018//
I don't understand how, but every month of 2018 just keeps getting better than the last. August was no different. It marked me PASSING my licensing exam, which is such a huge stress reliever. Tom graduated from his PhD program and started his new job working as a college professor and researcher. And we kicked off the celebrations for our 5 year anniversary a little early with a trip to Cuba. It's been a crazily busy month, yet a fulfilling one to say the least.

july 2018//
Oh wow, have these summer months been getting away from me. So before we get too much further into August (as in it's almost over), I need to recap my July.
And on a general note, please excuse the crazy all over the place path of the blog these days. Life is flying by at warp speed and making the time to sit down and document it all has been tough. I still have so much to share coming soon--the itinerary/budget for our west coast trip, our new loft waterfront apartment (once it's a bit more settled), details about my Dominican Republic mission trip, and a few more posts from Cuba. As you can see, I've been busy and it's a lot, but I'm determined to catch up soon. In the meantime, here is a glimpse at the best month of July.Friday, June 29, 2018
june 2018//
Happy Friday---the last one in June! I cannot believe how fast this month just flew right on by. I think that I can chalk that one up to being out of town every single weekend this month.
June was filled up quickly with studying, biking Martha's Vineyard, volunteering, hiking to a secluded beach, entering the last year of my twenties with celebrating my 29th birthday, seeing my baby sister graduate, recognizing the importance of the time that I've spent treating patients and loving every minute of it, and being surprised by a new car. Plus so much more. And now I'm headed off tomorrow on a medical dental mission trip in the Dominican Republic! Sunday, June 3, 2018
may 2018//
May was a tough month for me to get through. It was miserable actually. That's hard to admit because I try not to be negative in this space, but it's true. All month long, I felt like I was just barely holding on and waiting for it to end.
I was so stressed out and not getting enough sleep while studying for boards. I didn't see my husband at all during the month of May. I gained a ton of weight from being mostly sedentary studying non-stop. I had so many new patients assigned that I finally had to say...E-N-O-U-G-H. Not to mention, that I spent two weeks on a pediatric/orthodontic rotation surrounded by kids that got me so sick that I had a fever for days. It was a rough month to say the least. But in the grand scheme of things, nothing I'm going through right now is permanent or even really that bad. Here's a peak at my month.

april 2018//
April was a good month as far as keeping things balanced goes. It started with a great adventure with the Husband spending Easter in New Orleans where we got the best glimpse of Mardi Gras and exploring the big easy! I was able to make it home to my parents twice, volunteered, and got of studying done throughout the month.
Things picked up towards the end of April and got a little crazier with grad school, but I'm happy with how this month turned out.

march 2018//
Oh March, what an incredible adventure you were. I got a little behind with sharing a full recap of you, but thankfully I finally had some time to sit down this past weekend and organize a few photos...ok a lot of photos.
6 states. 7 flights. 30 miles hiked. And the list goes on....
March really was the busiest month!

january 2018//
If January was any indication of how this year will be, I am truly in for it. There were points in the month that felt so laid back and relaxed only to be overwhelmed and overworked the next.

2017 by the numbers
happy new year friends!
I'm currently in bed getting all the puppy cuddles, while I patiently await for husband to wake up before we head out to brunch. In the meantime, I can't help but to think back and reflect on 2017 and I'm missing it already. So even though I've already said a proper goodbye with this full year review and a video, I spent a few minutes this morning making this fun list below---just for the heck of it.
