Faux Pas

Don't you just love it when an outfit comes together with little to no effort? This is an OOTD from this past weekend and I loved it so much that I just might have to do an exact outfit repeat. I know! Total fashion faux pas, but I like to live life dangerously.

What I'm Wearing?
Dress: Forever 21
Cardigan: Gap
Necklace: Swarovski Crystal
Bracelet: Old Navy
Sunnies: Steve Madden
Purse: Dooney & Bourke

Part of the reason that styling this dress was so easy is because it has a lot of my favorite colors: mint, yellow, coral, and muted purples. Thus, I had tons of accessories to match. But after all that color, I knew I needed to tone things down a bit with my handbag. But because I am so drawn to color, this purse happens to be one of the few I own that isn't patterned or uniquely hued. At the same time, it's not your ordinary brown bag. In fact, nothing about it is or-di-nary. I love the gold finishes, the hanging tassel, and the distinct stitching to draw your eye to the embellishments on the bag. I love Dooney and Bourke handbags and this satchel is in the running for my favorite purse. But then again...who could choose just one?

  1. I love that you went for a neutral bag with this look, especially one with such a classic style. You can't go wrong with a bag like that; it's something you can keep forever.

  2. Thanks Ele, this bag was definitely an investment piece for me and intend to use it for many years. I have trouble finding neutrals that I like, but this purse fit the bill
