Historic Greens

If you are getting burnt out on hearing about my Savannah trip, I apologize but I can't help but want to share. Plus, this was my first real summer vacation in years. Not to mention that I don't get very much time off from dental school so I'm trying to make it last for as long as possible. So please humor me. If, on the other hand you love Savannah as much as I do...this one is for you.
First thing in the morning, we grabbed some praline flavored coffee at the Gallery Expresso and headed for Forsyth Park. Such a beautiful place full of lush greenery. And as an extra bonus, we ran into the bird lady. Hubby was brave enough to take on all four at once.
After Forstyh Park, we headed over to Wormsloe Historic Site. It was breathtaking, definitely one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. When you first enter the property, there is a beautiful long lane of Oaks with Spanish moss. While in Savannah, I fell in love with these trees. I so enjoy seeing the landscaping of historic homes so this was an added treat. In addition to the spiraling gardens of Versailles or the ivy climbing the walls of Tuscan villas, now I can add the gorgeous oak lined drive at Wormsloe Historic Site to my favorites list of landscaped homes.

  1. Love your blog!! It's so funny because your life is so similar to mine right now. My husband and I have been married for only a year, we're both is graduate school (me med school, he PT school), and we just went on a trip to Charleston and I kept feeling like I was posting way too many pictures from our trip. But when you finally get some time away from school together, who can help wanting to share all the awesome memories?!

  2. It's great to meet a kindred spirit and I will definitely have to check out your pics on Charleston. We would have loved to go there if we had enough time, but it's definitely on the list of possibilities for next summer
