101 in 1001: Update #5

A tale of procrastination: I meant to share this update in May, but didn't because I was avoiding writing it. Not because I didn't want to, just because I thought that it would take soooo long.

As it turns out, I didn't really check that much off my list since my last update so writing this post took a whopping 22 minutes--including this intro. Oops! Too bad I didn't check off item #45 which is to stop procrastinating.

COMPLETED
1. Visit 10 National Parks
It's my ultimate goal to visit all 59 US national parks. I thought doing 10 for the 101 in 1001 list was going to be too ambitious but we got this checked off early thanks to our last west coast trip where we visited the hottest place on Earth in Death Valley National Park-California, camped in Joshua Tree National Park-California, and hike our way through Saguaro National Park-Arizona.
Since starting this list, we've also hiked through national parks in Florida, Washington, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee. See all the parks we've visited here. We're actually up to 11 parks now during the 101 in 1001 time frame and I have a feeling that we will squeeze in a few more before it's all said and done.

6. Play the Slots in Vegas and 83. Learn to Play Poker
Finally visited Vegas Baby, which crossed two items off my list. See our day and read all about our wins/losses on the slots here
Not much to cross off the list this time around, but I'm already looking forward to my next update in August where I will have some big ticket items to check off.

  1. Honestly, you are doing so much and out there living your best life! Sometimes I feel a little letdown with myself when I don't mark off goals - but I'm still doing other things that make me happy, even if they're not on a list I made two years ago!

    1. Thank you Kayla! And yes, there are definitely a few things on my list now that I don't care about so much anymore but its still serving as a good goal guide for me to push myself. I'm glad to hear that you're doing what makes you most happy.
