Las Vegas Baby!
This city is known for its glitz and glam, its exorbitant flash, and pricey party lifestyle. Basically, it's everything that we are not.
But it felt like we should do Vegas as part of a last hoorah while we're still in our twenties!
We flew into the West Coast through Vegas and arrived pretty late, but woke up early and ready to start the day. Our first stop of the day was one of my favorites.
We spent the morning at the Neon Sign Museum--an open air museum that stores some of the city's most iconic neon lights.
This was a true highlight of our day in Vegas and the perfect way to kick off our week on the West Coast. You can find much more from our visit here.
After the Neon Sign Museum, we headed to Freemont Strip---home of the original Vegas Strip.
We of course made a stop at the Container Park while we were there. Loved this fun outdoor space full of the best eats and shops.
Lunch at White Castle!
This was actually our first time eating here and it did not disappoint.
Casinos & Palm Trees!
How can you not love this city?
After seeing iconic Vegas on the Old Strip, we headed over to the New Strip that everyone knows so well on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Our favorite hotel/casino on the strip was definitely the Bellagio, so we spent most of our evening there. I was especially in love with their lobby that felt like its own museum including this pretty Chihuly on the ceiling that we love and have history with.
Pops of Spring in the Bellagio Lobby
We had dinner at the Bellagio and did a little gambling in the casino, because when in Vegas Right? My wins made up for Husband's losses so all together, we won 62 cents. Pathetic Right?
After our time in the Bellagio, we turned in and spent the rest of the night binge watching TV in our hotel. Ha! Told you, we were not party people. We were definitely feeling the time change and jet lag at that point too. Plus, we had an early drive and this hike planned for the next day and were happy to relax at our hotel.
I don't know that I would ever go back to Vegas. It's just not my pace. That being said, we did really enjoy our day here and I'm thankful that we got to have this experience together while we're still young.
It looks like y'all had a blast.
ReplyDeleteI've never been, but I definitely feel like it's a place to go at least once in your life!
