A Night at the Boston Opera House

The other night, husband and I headed to Boston's Theatre District to spend the evening at the magnificent Boston Opera House. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were surrounded by gilded ceilings, damask wall coverings, and giant slabs of marble. It was sheer opulence!

Seriously can you stand how gorgeous this place is? There were literally chandeliers everywhere...

So if you read my recap of our one year anniversary, then you might remember me mentioning that I gave Tom tickets as a paper gift. Well, those tickets just so happened to be to the Boston Broadway production of The Lion King. Hubby and I both grew up in the 90's so I thought it would be a good show for us to see.

I had no idea just how amazing it would be. Within the first few minutes we were both mesmerized. The outrageous costumes, the perfect props, and the beautiful scenery captured so much emotion. And then the actors began to sing. It was wonderful. I'm sure there is no such thing as a bad broadway show, but this one was uniquely thrilling. Here's a little clip of highlights from this performance.

Thank you Boston Opera House for hosting such a great show
