Take Me Back!

This time last year, Tom and I went to California for what turned out to be a life-changing experience. To celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we made a big splurge--booking tickets to fly across the country and spend a week in what is undoubtedly one of the most expensive destinations in the country. But it was worth every single penny. Of all the places we've visited since then, Cali has a special place in our hearts. For months we reminisced about it; wishing that we could go back. There was so much more that we wanted to do there. But, realistically we just didn't think that we could afford another week in California anytime soon.
And then.....
I discovered travel hacking
I've learned so much in this past year about how to better plan and prioritize trip spending and now we are putting it to good use. This weekend, Tom and I are flew from Boston to San Francisco. That's right, we're headed back to California! We didn't think this would be possible for us again for years to come so we are beyond excited to have the opportunity to spend another week in the Golden State. Using what I've learned, we've taken a budget that would have been impossible to work with and turned it into a budget where there is extra room for some really amazing adventures. I will be of course be recapping California 2015 when we return (including our budget), but until then...here is a look back at a few highlights from California 2014
