farewell to february

You wouldn't know it from all of my happy go lucky shares lately, but this past month has been incredibly rough. How can such a short month be filled with so much stress and turmoil? So to say that I was happy to see February come to an end would be an understatement, but even with all the stress and all the late nights and all the tears, there were some really beautiful moments in February. And I'm thankful to these for helping me to hold things together during the low points. So here's just a few of those good moments worth sharing....
like my little white dog in the cutest little red coat
Lots of late nights practicing dentistry (in my pajamas of course! May as well be comfortable right?:)
Plus cozy winter study sessions with my favorites = candles + coffee

Plenty of flights happening this month back and forth up North and down South to visit Husband

With Valentine's Day being on a Tuesday this year, it meant Tom and I didn't get to see other on the actual day. But we definitely made up for it by celebrating a little early with a trip spending Valentine's Day weekend in New York.

Plus this Jasmine loved seeing the Broadway Show with my real life Aladdin. The unlikely story of two people from different worlds falling in love sounds all to familiar and was the perfect date night for Valentine's Day

After an amazing weekend, we parted ways and I headed back towards grad school to prep for a big test. So most of actual Valentine's day was spent studying, but I made time for my greatest love: coffee

Mailed off lots of fun care packages this month with this engagement gift for Ele that included something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.

Also, mailed this birthday in a box to the husband

Speaking of birthdays, when your wife is a dental student, birthday presents involve very fancy toothbrushes that have their own apps to monitor your brushing!

Please take me back to these winter strolls through Central Park, these will always be a favorite.

I've never minded cold wet weather, so bring on the mounds and mounds of snow.

Without a doubt, the best meal this month was husband's birthday dinner at our favorite noodle house

Best find this month, went into Target to stock up on leftover Valentine's Day candy. Found these massive love day candles instead for only $3 bucks a piece. Kind of perfect since I burn candles every time I study, which means I go through a few a month lol.
Lots of rainy days in February...most of them spent studying, but this rainy day at MoMA was a fav

Also, when you wear scrubs almost every single day of the week, you get way too excited about the chances you get to wear real clothes and absolutely have to document it. Outfit of the day details here
February, you were tough one, but also wonderful and beautiful too and I want to remember only the best parts of you. Looking forward to enjoying March to the fullest! Hopefully, it will be a month of catching and slowing down.

    1. I'm not a super Disney fan, but those people know how to put on a show, their broadway shows have definitely been the best I've seen

  3. I'm sorry that February was rough. I'm glad you got to do a lot of fun things too though! Aladdin would be so much fun! I really love those candles from Target. I haven't bought one for myself yet but I did buy one as a gift. The little sayings are so cute.

    1. Yep, I always try to infuse my month with fun adventures, regardless of how tough things are going. Definitely pick up a few candles for yourself, now that v-day is long gone, they're practically giving them away and they smell amazing

    1. Ha! I was wondering if I wear stripes too much lol. I'm always wearing scrubs and when I finally get stressed, 99% of the time it seems to be stripes
