APPLE Picking!

Have you ever been apple picking?

I have had never been. Husband and I made plans every Fall, but timing just never worked out. As one of our anniversary dates, we finally went apple picking this year. It was the perfect date and a great way to kick off the Fall season. Plus, it was made even better because we were able to take our pup along with us. 

Husband was completely in charge of planning this date, and he did the best job. My favorite part about the orchard we visited is that you could actually climb the trees. And the best apples are clearly at the top so that's exactly where we picked from! 

there were plenty of ladders throughout the orchard... 

but if you're adventurous like us, you don't always use them. We felt like little kids, climbing trees and stuffing our faces with sweet delicious apples.

What do you Wear Apple Picking? 

While grabbing a plaid shirt would have been the obvious choice, I'm glad that I didn't because I would have matched every other girl there. Instead, I focused on being comfortable and unique while wearing pieces that would help transition into Fall.

Gala Apples...McIntosh...Cortlands..Golden Supreme...Empire Apples. 

You name it, PJ loved them All! 

We definitely saved the best part for last with these Apple Cider Donuts covered in Cinnamon Sugar. We ate half a dozen of these along with the freshest caramel apples I've ever tasted on our ride home. 

And we have been eating apples non-stop since our little adventure, which is perfect because you know what they say about an apple a day...I've already baked an apple crisp and an apple pie {from scratch of course}. Plus, we still have about 10pounds of apples left...definitely not a bad problem to have. I may just have to try my hand at apple cider donuts next!
